Henrik Ibsen was born on March 20, 1828, in Norway, and died May 23, 1906. He was a poet and a theatre director who is referred as “the father” of modern drama and is one of the founders of Modernism in the theatre.

A Doll's House is an 1879 play written by Ibsen one year after The Pillars of Society. This is his most famous work. The play tell the story about Nora, a woman that abandoned her husband and children to discover her own worth as a human being.
