  • WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS COUNTRY ON 14 JULY 1789?
Now a days, French people celebrate the National Day on 14th of July which is called Bastille Day.
On this day in 1789 Parisian revolutionaries and mutinous troops storm and dismantle the Bastille, a royal fortification that had come to symbolise the oppression of the monarchs. This dramatic action signalled the beginning of the French Revolution, a decade of political turmoil and terror.
