SECOND TEST:
- WHAT IS NATIONAL ANTHEM OF THIS COUNTRY? WHICH WAS ITS ORIGINAL NAME? WHY IS IT CALLED LIKE THAT?
The name of the song originally was Chant de guerre pour l'Armée du Rhin ("War Song for the Army of the Rhine "). It was written and composed by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle in 1792
It became the rallying call of the French Revolution and was so-called because it was first sung on the streets by troops from Marseille upon their arrival in Paris . It was adopted on 14th of July because of the insurrection of Tullerías.
Allons enfants de la Patrie ,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!
Contre nous de la tyrannie,
L'étendard sanglant est levé,(bis)
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes,
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras,
Égorger nos fils, nos compagnes!
Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!
Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!
